It's crazy to think we're in 2026 and people are still modding the Xbox 360.
Back in the day, if you wanted to get into modding, you pretty much needed an RGH/JTAG console. Either you knew how to solder and install everything yourself or you had to pay someone to do it for you.
Now with newer software-based exploits like BadUpdate, it's becoming easier for people to get into Xbox 360 modding without having to physically modify their consoles. Obviously, these methods still have limitations compared to a proper RGH, but it's pretty cool seeing this stuff happen after all these years.
I honestly think this could bring some life back into the old COD modding scene. More people being able to experiment with mod menus, GSC scripts, custom patches, and homebrew without having to buy another console is a pretty big deal.
I still remember when MW2 challenge lobbies and COD4 infections were everywhere. Now most of those old communities are gone, and half the download links from back then don't even work anymore.
That's part of why I started Infected Xbox. I'd like to see people sharing menus, releasing their own projects, helping others fix their accounts, and keeping the old Xbox 360 modding scene alive.
What do you guys think?
Curious what everyone else thinks.

What do you guys think?
- Is an RGH/JTAG still worth buying in 2026?
- Have you tried any of the newer Xbox 360 software exploits?
- Do you think easier access to modding will bring more people back to the older COD games?
- What game would you like to see more mod menus and releases for?
Curious what everyone else thinks.
